Is it GDPR compliant?
Yes, and designed for People teams who need it to be. Employees explicitly consent before recording. You control all data retention periods and can request full deletion at any time. We never use employee video data for advertising or to train AI models.
Can I control who sees the videos?
Yes. Every campaign is private to your account. You choose who receives the recording link, and compiled reels are only shared via links you generate. Pro and Team plans add custom URLs and branded pages so access stays within your organisation.
Does it integrate with our HRIS?
Pro and above includes webhooks and a REST API that work with Zapier, Make and most HR and recruiting systems. Open Automations in your dashboard and choose Connect your tools, which creates an API key. Then use it to make a personal link for each starter, leaver or candidate, and to hear when each video arrives, whether that is a farewell, a welcome or a milestone.
What happens to videos after storage expires?
Videos are stored for 30 days on Starter and 90 days on Pro, then move to a short recovery quarantine before deletion. Download any clip or compiled reel from your dashboard at any time. Team and Enterprise plans offer extended retention for compliance and culture archives.
Can we use this for formal HR processes like exit interviews?
Yes. Many People teams use Whoosh for structured exit interviews, 360° feedback, and wellbeing check-ins. Contributors record on video with explicit consent, and you retain full control over who views responses and how long they are kept.
Does it work for remote and distributed teams?

On Pro, the recording page shows your company logo and brand colours on your own branded link. For new starters and remote colleagues, it feels like it comes from their employer, because it does.
